Hey, I’m Haley! I am a licensed clinical social worker in Colorado with seven years of experience in the mental health field. Born and raised in Colorado, my education background includes a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2015) and Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver (2019), with an Animal Assisted Social Work Certificate. At the start of my career, I gained five years of experience working in community mental health, providing therapy inside public schools to adolescents and families, incorporating my personal commitment to accessibility and affordability. In 2025, I transitioned to a role serving adult populations managing disordered eating and body image distress. I have consistently incorporated my visual arts education and background into my therapeutic practice.
Social workers are the largest group of mental health care providers in the United States, and I practice with a strong commitment to social justice in alignment with social work ethics and values. I acknowledge the levels of privilege associated with engaging in therapy, as well as making art, and interacting with nature and animals, and it is my strong desire to incorporate these alternative elements into my therapeutic practice to bridge these gaps. I believe in the power of healing through alternative therapy modalities, and I have professional experience incorporating art, horticulture, and animal assisted interventions into therapy.
I acknowledge that clients may feel anxiety or fears of imperfection about creating art, and participation in art activities is not required as part of your therapy. I personally hold a strong belief that art is for everyone, and the process of creating something beautiful brings us pride and joy. I have facilitated creative interventions including therapeutic art journaling (incorporating personal art, recycled items and ephemera into collage style journals), acrylic paint, India ink and therapeutic coloring.
I know that every person I meet engages with many systems in their life - from career or schooling to family and friends. I have had success in helping clients find their unique authenticity, and feeling true to who they are, finding a more confident self. As a sober therapist, I am familiar with the alcoholics anonymous program and I believe in the power of sobriety to improve our authenticity. I look forward to helping you build healthy habits for long term, sustainable change.
